The New GIB® Tough Systems 2011 Technical Literature has been developed to achieve interior finishes that keep looking good for longer.
New GIB® Tough Systems 2011 provides improved resistance against accidental impact and wear & tear in locations where high human traffic or intense use is expected. Although significantly reduced costs of repair are anticipated, there is no safeguard against damage from deliberate abuse such as vandalism or attack of interior surfaces with heavy tools or instruments.
This GIB® Tough Systems technical literature includes information on two different high performance lining materials, GIB® Toughline® and GIB® Fiberock® Aqua-Tough™ (Manufactured by USG).
Each is a gypsum plasterboard sheet lining material which offers increased impact resistance, but each offers different performance attributes and pricing associated with it's ability to withstand impact and wear and tear. Due to the differences in cost, impact resistance, and expected reductions in maintenance, careful consideration should be given when selecting the most appropriate product or system specification. This decision will depend on the frequency and intensity of impact and the volume of traffic going through an area in which the GIB® Tough System is installed.
