Christchurch

In March 2008, the Christchurch distribution facilities were upgraded.  The facility comprises 4900m2 of purpose built warehouse space and additional load out canopies totalling 3100m2. All ex-warehouse and FIS customers are serviced from this new facility. This new capacity allows all distribution operations to operate from one site rather than the previous three sites.

The location and design allows all product from manufacture to load out to happen undercover. The new canopy is over 4 times larger than the previous one and is designed to ensure smooth operation no matter what the weather. House lot racking either side of the canopy will enable easy visibility of what is to be loaded to enable a more efficient despatching operation.

The Gate and Christchurch distribution centres are two examples of infrastructure upgrades that will enable Winstone Wallboards to meet and hopefully exceed both the current and future service needs of the New Zealand building industry.
