GIB® DTS Safety Initiatives
1. Delivered to Site Safe Work Practices GuideAll of Winstone Wallboards (WWB) delivery teams are trained on WWB's DTS Safe Work Practices Guide and must graduate from this training before entering the delivery service. The Guide details all aspects of the delivery process and ensures our customers receive a constantly high standard of service quality when receiving GIB®.
Plasterboard on site
2. GIB® Vertical Stack Restraint SystemBecause of the complexity of some deliveries and restricted site conditions, it is not always possible to horizontally stack plasterboard. In the event plasterboard needs to be stacked vertically, WWB have developed the GIB Vertical Stack Restraint System.
This system is designed to be simple and reusable by our customers on site, ensuring vertically stacked plasterboard is always left restrained when not being fixed. Keep an eye out for the system on site - it will be accompanied by an information pamphlet (shown below), that will show you how to use the system.
Specialised Working at Height Teams
Delivering Plasterboard at height is a very dangerous process when safe delivery practices are not used. To ensure our delivery teams are always teams are always safe when working at height WWB have developed and introduced the specialised working at height teams - an industry certified team specialised in using both fall Restraint and Fall Arrest Systems on site. Keep an eye out for our teams onsite as they promote a change in Working at Height culture in the building industry.
