About the role 

Reporting to the Auckland Engineering Manager, you will be part of a team that drives plant optimisation and improvement. Delivering on planned Capex Projects as well as providing support to the Production team during day-to-day operations.

Planned works will see you promoting the technical advantages of control and feedback systems to the team where you will be an integral part of the planning and pricing of projects, through to delivery and commissioning of new equipment. Our Engineers are required to provide technical support to the team in a fault-finding capacity when downtime occurs. You will use your expertise of the electrical and control systems, to support Production staff to help ensure that production targets are met.

 

About you 

You will possess prior industrial or manufacturing experience. You will be driven to add value to the team, where you will be encouraged to identify, develop and deliver technical solutions that can have positive impacts on the plant and the people who work within it. You will have the ability to communicate at all levels, and will be a self starter, confident and accustomed to discussing control system solutions. Your ability to listen, understand plant and operator needs means you will be able to ensure delivery of systems that are as per requirement and fit for purpose.

QUALITY AND TRAINING COORDINATOR - 12 month contract

About the role 

This is a key role in  our HSEQT (Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training) function. You will be responsible for the coordination of HSEQT activities at Winstone Wallboards, to ensure that the business is meeting compliance requirements and BAU activities are maintained.

Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, this role will work in conjunction with operational leaders developing, implementing and operating best practice safety systems to meet customer needs and business objectives. You will be required to manage training requirements and needs including, records, renewing certificates and booking courses. You will need to manage training supplier relationships and costs.

You will also work closely and support the Human Resources Manager on Learning and Development initiatives and projects, including talent planning and training programmes.

 

About you 

We are after an energetic and persuasive professional, able to lead active engagement in "safety always" and champion safety compliance primarily in our Auckland site.

You will need a Health and Safety related qualification or an interest in Health and Safety. Experience working in a similar working environment will be largely advantageous.

PALLET REPAIR OPERATOR

About the role 

We are currently looking for a Pallet Repair Operator to join our team. This role is based in Christchurch.

Day to day you will be required to assist with end to end pallet repair service, which includes unloading pallets (up to 6 metres long) from trucks and containers, checking off against inbound documentation and completing all necessary paperwork, grading and stacking pallets along with the repair of damaged pallets.

There is a need to operate tools when repairing pallets. You'll be unloading and putting away inwards good both domestic and imports meanwhile adhering to transitional facility requirements. You will be flexible to work up to 50 hours when demands increase for the business.

 

About you 

You will be able to work in a diverse team, be personable, and display good safety etiquette. You'll have a strong work ethic, be comfortable working outdoors and have prior forkhoist experience. You will be a team player, and have a good eye for detail. It is preferred applicants have worked in a similar role previously. Applicants must have a clean drivers licence, good written English skills, good numeric skills and be physically fit with the ability to safely handle heavy equipment and product.
