GIB Curveline® is now detailed to create curved ceiling bulkheads and as a tiling substrate for light mosaic tiles up to 16kg/m2 (within the below limitations).  

GIB Curveline® for Forming Curved Bulkheads  

Updated guidance around using GIB Curveline® to form convex and concave bulkheads can now be found in the updated GIB Curveline® Specification and Installation Manual, November 2025. 

GIB Curveline® as a Light Tile Substrate  

GIB Curveline® is also a suitable substrate for light tiles, such as decorative mosaic tiles, up to 16kg/m2.  

However, GIB Curveline® is not suitable as a tiling substrate in wet areas requiring impervious sheet materials, a waterproofing membrane, or containment of accidental overflow according to NZBC E3/AS1.
