By NAWIC Media Release

The much-anticipated NAWIC excellence awards, partnered with BCITO, was a stunning
success. With a record number of nominations, finalists, and ticket sales, it was a special night
of celebration and recognition for women across the construction sector.
We would like to thank all our partners BCITO, and event sponsors Winstone Wallboards, and
Resene, for their contribution to the success of this evening, and extend our gratitude to all the
families, employers, friends and work colleagues who came along to join in the celebrations on
the night.
The stories, citations and speeches were inspiring, and included a special appearance by the
Minister of Building and Construction - Minister Poto Williams, who has a strong background in
the sector and had some words of wisdom and encouragement for all.
There were so many amazing moments throughout the night, some were captured by our
photographer, Rachel Buer, and other snaps shared by others, some moments will be etched in
our memories, such as the incredible atmosphere and energy in the room.
We had an exceptional line up of finalists, making it difficult for the judges to choose winners
and highly commended awards. We congratulate all our finalists, winners, and award recipients,
you have all made incredible contributions to the industry.
