Introducing GIB® Bracing Plates

Winstone Wallboards is pleased to advise that GIB® Bracing Plates are available for sale from Monday 17th of February 2026.
GIB® Bracing Plates are 0.55 BMT galvanised metal bracing plates with a circular metal cut out. They act as a backing plate to support large penetration openings (i.e. holes greater than 100mm in diameter), through ceiling diaphragms and GIB Ezybrace® wall bracing elements which is a requirement in GIB EzyBrace® Systems.
Smaller penetrations (i.e. holes 100mm in diameter or smaller), or holes which are located outside of ceiling diaphragms or GIB Ezybrace® wall bracing elements do not require the use of a metal backing plate to support the penetration opening.
